David Pozay is a bilingual singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose sound weaves together the earthy warmth of folk, the grooves of reggae, and the raw spirit of rock. Born and raised in the lush Laurentides of Quebec, Pozay now calls San Diego home—a move that reflected both a musical expansion and a love affair with surfing.
In 2020, Pozay co-founded the band Half Hour Late, a four-piece beach rock powerhouse known for their high-energy performances and sun-soaked original songs. As the band’s lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, he has helped shape their signature sound and infectious live vibe. Since their debut, Half Hour Late has made serious waves in the San Diego music scene—earning a Best Pop Album nomination at the San Diego Music Awards and selling out multiple headline shows within their first year.
When not playing with the band, David steps into his solo project—a captivating one-man band act where he layers vocals, guitar, trumpet, and acoustic percussion through live looping. Whether solo or with Half Hour Late, David brings audiences into a joyful, rhythm-driven world rooted in community, movement, and melody.
